Primary Full Day
Children enrolled in the full-day primary program will spend the morning in the mixed-age classroom, participate in lunch and outdoor play, take a designated rest time, and then participate in afternoon enrichment activities until dismissal.
Kindergarten: Children who have completed the first two years of a three year cycle in a Montessori environment and are the ages 5-6 are considered Kindergarten children. The expectations for Kindergarten children are slightly higher than the pre-primary level. Kindergarten children spend the morning in the mixed-age classroom, participate in lunch and outdoor play, and then have a special kindergarten time together while the full-day primary children rest. Kindergarten time provides the teachers with more one-on-one time with the older children for more academic work. Kindergarten is the third year of a three-year cycle and represents the culmination of a child’s development in the Primary classroom.
