Alison Fields is an archaeologist-turned-farmer who is passionate about educating the next generation of land stewards to care for the earth. Alison received her B.A. in Classical Civilizations from New York University in 2008 and an M.A. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati in 2011. For eight years, Alison travelled and worked throughout the Mediterranean, excavating and researching ancient cities and tombs in Italy, Albania, Greece, and Turkey. Now, Alison focuses on putting things back in the earth and operates Eldersong Farm. In 2016, Alison received her Permaculture Design Certificate after completing the Ecological Landscaper Immersion and Farm School course at the Permaculture Skills Center in Sebastopol, California. At Heärt Montessori, Alison teaches permaculture to the the children at our offsite farm and sanctuary in Loveland that serves as an education site for sustainability, biodiversity, and nature connection.
