Betsi Heithaus began learning American Sign Language (ASL) from the Deaf Community in the early 1980’s and went on to work as a professional interpreter in 1988. Since then she has worked as an interpreter in a wide variety of settings, from business to medical and educational, from preschool to doctorate programs. She has taught ASL to people of all ages with some who have continued on to become interpreters. Betsi’s yoga teaching path began in 2008 and now, both passions, American Sign Language and yoga often come together, bringing the wonderful benefits of yoga to the Deaf Community and beyond.
