Danielle Roberts is a Cincinnati native, who was first introduced to Montessori education at the age of 22, when she took a position as an assistant teacher in a Montessori based preschool. Upon starting this job, she quickly discovered that she had a passion for working with young children, and instantly fell in love with the Montessori method. After finishing up her Bachelor’s in journalism, she enrolled as a graduate student at Xavier University, where she obtained a Master’s in Montessori Education, an American Montessori Society preprimary credential, and an Ohio state teaching license for early childhood. During her time at Xavier, Danielle worked as an intern at two different Montessori schools (one public, one private), where she taught a diverse range of students, including children with special needs. When Danielle discovered Heärt Montessori, she knew she wanted to be a part of their team, as Heärt’s philosophy is very much in synch with her own. Danielle believes that through cultivating a child’s natural sense of compassion, honoring their love of nature, and encouraging them to practice mindfulness, we are able to create a more peaceful, empathetic world for the future. Outside of teaching, Danielle is also devoted to creative writing, plant-based cooking, and being an active voice for the many compassionate causes that are important to her.
