Alison came to yoga as a refuge for physical healing after four years of competitive roller derby. On a whim, she enrolled in and completed her 300-hour World Peace Yoga teacher training. Once believing that yoga was only for happy people, Alison discovered that a consistent practice assists to reveal our true nature–joy. Alison is grateful to the World Peace Yoga community for providing a space for deep spiritual transformation and re-wilding that connected her more deeply to her intuition, her community, and the earth. Eager to learn more about earth care and community building, Alison enrolled in a permaculture design course and received her certification at the Permaculture Skills Center in Sebastopol, CA. She enjoys contemplating the intersection between yoga philosophy and the principles of permaculture and integrating those modalities into her classes and workshops. When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, Alison grows organic cut flowers and herbs for the Cincinnati area at her farm, Eldersong.
