Yoga Basics for EVERYbody, 4-week series
February 15-March 8 ~ Thursdays, 7:45 pm – 8:45 pm with Donna Brott

Have you ever thought that yoga is not for you?
Do you think your body is not the right size for yoga?
Have you ever wondered how to make yoga work for your body?
Are you curious about how to use yoga props?
Do you know how to modify yoga poses just for your unique body?

Join us to answer these questions and many more! We are offering this 4-week workshop series to nurture unconditional love for ourselves at any size. Learn foundational yoga postures in a way that works for your body. Spend time learning how to use props to assist and support you, as well as how to modify poses to discover more space and ease in your practice. Your yoga practice belongs to you. Allow us to hold space for you as you experiment with ways to make this practice uniquely yours.

In this dedicated time for our workshop series, we foster the creation of a safe uplifting community that empowers you in your individual practice on the mat. We are offering you the tools to feel comfortable in creating your own personal practice and adapting poses for your unique body in a welcoming group class setting.

Vegan Spirituality Meetup
Second Sunday of the Month ~ 4:00-5:00 pm (2/11, 3/11, 4/8…)

This meetup is an opportunity to discuss, create, and build community centered on compassion for all living beings. The meetup begins with introductions and a brief meditation to get centered and grounded followed by discussion on topics that relate to living a kind and compassionate vegan lifestyle. This is a FREE offering and donations are welcome.

Inspiring Classes with Doug Swenson
Monday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 6

Doug Swenson began his study of yoga in 1969. He has had the fortune of studying with many great teachers. In addition to teaching yoga, Doug is a philosopher, poet and dedicated health advocate. He has incorporated influences from several different yoga systems along with his passion for nutrition and the environment to develop his unique approach. Doug’s classes are always invigorating and inspirational and his supportive style of teaching and keen sense of humor send his students home with a smile on their face and a softness within their heart.

In this class the students will experience a delightful, holistic flow of asana – focused around handstands, inversions, and balancing. With many tips on how to avoid and overcome injury.

5:15-6:15 pm:  Yoga Basics (low intensity)
6:30-7:30 pm:  Mastering the Secrets of Yoga Flow (low-medium intensity)

This Reiki share or exchange is an opportunity for self-love, self-care, and self-service so that we as Reiki practitioners may be of better service to the world. Gather with like-minded Reiki souls to participate in informal group healing treatments, both receiving and giving in a relaxed atmosphere. Fill up with inspiration and uplifting energy. This is a FREE gathering for anyone that has completed Reiki I and II.

Baby and Me Yoga
4-week series: April 7-28; Saturdays, 10:15-11:00 am

This class series focuses on nurturing mom and dad or caregiver(s) while deepening the bond with their baby. While some of the postures are playful, others are practiced to rehabilitate and restore post-birth, offering caregivers the energy to nurture baby, while finding balance, strength and peace of mind. Sure to be an enriching experience for everyone. Feel free to bring a blanket and toy.

Reiki I & II for Planetary and Personal Peace

Join us for this unique, energizing and healing Reiki Training for Planetary & Personal Peace. In this training, you will learn what Reiki is, the history and evolution of Reiki, what Reiki is able to do, how to use Reiki to help others and yourself, and how to give a full or a partial Reiki session. You will also learn Reiki self-healing, how to become a clean instrument for Reiki energy, how to become a healing facilitator, and the basics of subtle anatomy and the chakras.

Intro to Teaching Prenatal Yoga

Are you a Yoga teacher, Yoga teacher in training, midwife, doula, birth coach, pregnant or planning on getting pregnant? If so, then come spend the day, deepening your practice and expand your teaching knowledge exploring how yoga assists expectant moms and dads along their journey. Learn the fundamentals of a prenatal yoga class, creating a safe space for assisting mothers and fathers preparing for pregnancy, labor and beyond. Gain the knowledge to assist a mom with safely practicing prenatal yoga to physically prepare her for pregnancy and labor; empower mom and dad to tune in to her intuition; and cultivate trust to find inner strength. This training encourage students to realize and experience the amazing and beautiful gift of becoming a parent. We will continue the day exploring ways that yoga may assist mom and dad once the baby is born and all attention seems to shift to the baby. Learn the basics of a postnatal class, assisting parents to find time for themselves; help mom physically rehabilitate after childbirth and pregnancy; and create a community to support parents in their new role.
