Patrick Borders started attending classes at World Peace Yoga in 2013 to gain flexibility in an effort to avoid some “nagging” injuries he was experiencing in his regular workout. He came to appreciate that a yoga practice provided many more benefits for the body, mind, and spirit. In 2016 Patrick started the World Peace Yoga 300-hour Foundational Teacher Training. He found this training challenging, invigorating, and more rewarding than he ever imagined. Patrick graduated from Foundational training in January 2016 and promptly signed up for the World Peace Yoga Advanced Teacher Training.
Yoga is a family favorite – Patrick’s wife Helen is a regular at the studio, his son Tommy practices in Chicago, and his daughter Claire is a teacher at One Down Dog Yoga in Los Angeles. When recently asked what was the most important thing he learned in his training Patrick answered, “Who can do yoga? EVERYONE!”
