It was the spring of 2009, shortly after adopting a vegan diet, Stephen was introduced to asana practice by a man named Tony Horton. He originally tried it because of Tony’s attribution of being be so limber (as he was approaching 50) to yoga. It proved to be quite challenging but Stephen fell in love instantly. Fast forward 2 years and he was introduced to World Peace Yoga by way of a vegan potluck. Another friend encouraged him to practice asana so he may “feel his feet on the ground”. Stephen rediscovered his love for the practice and was soon going through and completing the 300-hour WPY teacher training program. He is currently in the process of completing his advanced WPY teacher training. As a part of Stephen’s community outreach he, along with a team of very motivated individuals organized Cincinnati’s very first VegFest. Stephen enjoys sharing the relation to yoga in our everyday lives. He continues his education and is currently in advanced training at World Peace Yoga.
