One of the greatest things I have experienced in my years of yoga was a “yoga class as date night.” For a few years, every Tuesday, my husband and I left the kids at home, went to a yoga basics class together, breathed, stretched, connected with our higher selves, let go of our busy days, set positive intentions, enjoyed a tatste of bliss, samadhi, and then went for a relaxed dinner. Those long periods where we engaged in the yoga practice together were some of the most connected and joyful times in our relationship. I highly recommend trying this with your partner and see what happens. Now after writing this, I am inspired to make it happen again for my husband and I. When life gets crazy and gets in the way of the yoga practice is when we most need it, of course!
